#807 Mid-Nineteenth Century Wrapper
This wrapper was most likely fashionable in the mid 1850s. Wrappers and robes were considered "undress" garments and were generally worn in the privacy of home or in a rural setting. The historical notes contain information about American robes and wrappers from the 1820s to the 1860s.
The original fabric and linings are plain weave printed cotton. Life size swatches are to the right and on the back of the color envelope.
Sizes 8-18 require 6 1/2 Yds. of 45 inch wide fabric; sizes 20-26 require 7 Yds. of 45 inch wide fabric.
