Flounced Skirt requires 45 inch fabric for: Fashion Fabric - Sizes 8 through 14 - 6-1/3 Yds. fashion fabric; Sizes 16 through 20 - 6-1/2 Yds.; Sizes 22 through 26 - 7 Yds. Lining Fabric: All sizes 4-1/2 Yds. Underskirt Fabric: All sizes 4 Yds.

The original skirt fabric was a black silk taffeta. The original flounce skirt was a forest green and black stripe cut on the diagonal. A watered taffeta, a changeable silk taffeta, plaid taffeta and a medium-weight good quality cotton are particularly good choices.
