This Late 1910s Ladies One-Piece Dress sewing pattern was originally published by The Butterick Pattern Company
On the original packaging this garment was described as a “Ladies' and Misses' One-piece Dress with Convertible or Standing Collar, with or without the Pockets, Cuff, or Body Lining". In Everyday Fashions of the '20's by Stella Blum, these comfortable one-piece dresses were described as, "Splendidly adapted for a maternity dress".
This pattern can be used to produce 4 different styles of the Ladies One-Piece Dress.
This Dress pattern was designed to fit the size and shape of an Edwardian, 17-year-old with 34” bust. This is the only size offered with this package.

Dresses from the late 1910s similar to this were made of a variety of fabrics including wool mixed Panama, silk satin, wool poplin, wool French serge or black-and-white shepherd check and they were colored navy blue, black, brown, grey, burgundy, Copenhagen blue, liberty blue or tan.
The late 1910s Dress pattern package includes copies of the original artwork, sizing chart and fabric requirements chart on the front cover and a pattern diagram on the back cover. Inside the booklet are copies of Butterick’s extensive illustrated instructions, with written directions, for building the garment. We also include the Past Patterns Guide to Editing and Modifying patterns due to bust size. The patterns come on 1 sheet, 36”x60”, with hand drawn pattern emulating the originals.
