This pattern was published by The Butterick Pattern
Company. Originally the pattern was described as "Ladies'
Yoke Blouse-Waist or Bodice, with or without the fancy
bolero and with Garibaldi or plain sleeves." Minimal
directions. Pattern dates circa 1900-1902.
Suggested fabrics: Silk, taffeta, light woolens, and
velvet. The colors were black, white, and harmonious or
monochromatic schemes heightened with vivid touches of
strong color (particularly red).
