This Butterick pattern is described as a "Ladies' Gibson
Shirt-Waist", with either of two styles of closing, High
Neck and Neck-Band for wear with the Turn-Down or Other
Separate Collars or with Open Neck and Large Collar,
Full-Length or Shorter Sleeves Sewed in Mannish Style, and
with or without a pocket. (To be made as a Separate Waist or
Attached to a Skirt in Semi-Princess Style.) Written
instructions only. Pattern dated to 1910-1915.
Suggested Fabrics: None on envelope. From others of its
era: cotton, linen and silk are appropriate.
