One-Piece Dresses from the Flapper Era similar to this were made of a variety of fabrics including wool Cherilaine, silk flat crepe, silk crepe satin and wool French crepe. The common colors for garments like this were black, brown, bisque, tan, blue, navy blue, mahogany and powder blue.

This Flapper era package includes a copy of the Butterick’s original artwork, a sizing chart and a material requirements on the front cover. On the back cover is a pattern diagram and Cutting notes. Inside the booklet are copies of the Butterick instruction set, which are both well-written and illustrated. We also include the Past Patterns Guide to Editing and Modifying patterns due to bust size. The patterns come on 2 36” wide sheets and are hand-drawn, emulating the originals.
